Just in case you need a bit of oomph before the ne Just in case you need a bit of oomph before the new week! Sunday nights often feel a bit overwhelming, even though I really like going to work. I guess it’s from school days? . Before I go to bed I try to sit for half an hour or so and write down the things I have to do, the things I want to do, and things I really don’t want to do in the week ahead (as In I don’t want to give myself a hard time if I don’t manage to get x,y or z done, or I don’t want to miss a morning meditation session now I’m on a roll, sort of thing) . It helps to settle my brain down a bit and gives me chance to look at the week coming, and know that it’s not too much. And if it is too much, the aim is to take a few things out and make a bit more space. . Here’s to the week ahead, I hope it’s a good one 💕 . I just had an email from @emma_bridgewater that in I just had an email from @emma_bridgewater that informed me that it’s #Internationalteaday today. Which made me laugh, because I’m married to a dairy farmer and yet we have no milk in the house so I can’t have my morning cuppa - it happens way more than it should and now we don’t live on the farm I can’t pull on my wellies and tramp across the yard to fill the jug up! . I hope your cuppa is just how you like it today and you’ve got some good biscuits to dunk in! (Chocolate hobnob every time for me - when it’s not one of ours of course!) . Have a lovely weekend 💕
I post this every year on May 18th, an embroidery I post this every year on May 18th, an embroidery stitched for us as a wedding gift from a poem found tucked between the folds of an old wallet of Gareth’s grandfathers that his parents found after he had passed away penned by his wife. I read it daily as I’m brushing my teeth, and it always helps me to remember the beauty in the ordinary, and what really matters. . 9years ago today we got married, in the cow shed on the farm with a leaky roof, straw on the floor and millions of fairy lights. It was a simple, homemade, magic day and it’s lovely to think back about how special it was. . We’re away celebrating for a couple of nights at @bethnalandbec and it’s every bit as blimming wonderful as I’ve been promised by @time_to_deleg8. Let the relaxation (and dancing to 80’s tunes on the record player) commence!
